Care
Where
Roedhelm Road is property that allows people requiring care or support to stay in a shared house. The flexible setup allows our clients empowerment of residing in their own environment which has private spaces belonging to that person only at the same time as benefitting from parts of the building that are communal and specifically set up for the delivery of care. This set up allows for independent living, integration with fellow housemates and the best care to be delivered.
Roedhelm Road is spacious six bedroom detached home. Located on a quiet residential development off Swine Lane in East Morton. Within close proximity of beautiful countryside, parks, comprehensive amenities of Keighley and bus routes into Bingley providing onwards public transport links to Leeds, Bradford and Skipton. The property is spacious and bright and has benefits from 4 bathrooms and a separate cloak room. To the front of the property is a mostly laid to lawn garden with gated entrance leading to a paved pathway to the front elevation. To the rear of the property is an enclosed well kept garden that is mostly laid to lawn with decked seating and sensory area.
Empowered Living Way
We listen, help our service users to face problems head-on, and work with us to find practical and realistic solutions. At all times, we are guided by trust and openness.
Empowered Living look beyond disabilities and challenges, and believe that everyone has a valuable part to play in the community, however small, and should be empowered to make their own contribution.
Empowered Living strive to be transparent with their decisions and actions at all times. They are trusted to help those who are the most vulnerable and complex people in society today.
Treat a person as they are and they will remain as they are. Treat a person as they could be and they will become as they should be.

Autism Spectrum Disorder
We care, and our approach produces significant achievements for everyone. Autism is a spectrum condition and because all those with it share certain difficulties, their personal condition will affect them to differing degrees. Some people can live relatively independent lives but others may need a lifetime of specialist support. Individuals may struggle to understand and relate to others around them so that daily family or social life is challenging.
This inevitably leads to being misunderstood and a feeling of isolation.
Empowered Living can support people to manage their condition giving ongoing access to our services and expertise; focusing on education and behaviour support. We enable the people we serve with ASD to understand their behaviour and create coping strategies. We help them define their skills which allows them to be a part of their community.
How We Help
Our Clients and Us
Empowered Living listen to the things that bother it’s service users; what they want to do and achieve, how they want to live, what works for them and what doesn’t.
Empowered Living…
is about each service user as an individual person, their needs, their goals, dreams, aspirations, family, friends and community
works on ‘why’ each service users acts as they do and ‘how’ those supporting them can respond in a way that works for the service user and meet their needs
gives service users the motivation to engage with others living within their local community leading to the building of strong relationships
uses methods such as education, skill development and communication enabling service users to achieve as much independence as possible
employs Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), creates strategies such as ‘shaping’, ‘chaining’, ‘social stories’ and ‘reinforcement based practices’ to transform service user behaviour and to improve lives
understands the issues that can get in the way of service users achieving their goals, dreams and aspirations and moves mountains to overcome them

Staying Connected
That’s why we encourage regular visits, but realise this is not always possible. As such, we have introduced a Facebook-based service that helps families stay in touch and view updates and pictures on residents’ progress and any activities they have been involved in. All service users’ accounts are private and can only be viewed by authorised family members.
We also have Skype video-calling, should you wish to see and talk to a service user in real time. Of course residents and families can also keep in touch by phone, with some service users also able to use email on their own computers.
